Evangelism meeting: February 2, 2003

v     We began with reading chapter eleven from the book of Acts.

*  who will tell you words by which you and all your household will be saved” (Acts 11:14).  The word of God must be heard for salvation, therefore, it is essential to preach the word of God to the unbelievers.

*  They assembled with the church and taught a great many people.  And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch” (Act 11:26).  Three major factors are mentioned in this verse, they assembled a great number of people, they taught apostolic doctrine and they made disciples.  Assembling a multitude to form a church, teaching the apostolic doctrine and establishing disciples to teach and serve in church are three factors our apostolic church practices.

*  how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power…” (Act 10:38).  Here the three persons of the Holy Trinity are mentioned, the father, the son and the Holy Spirit.

v     By the grace of God, through our “Lost Sheep Project”, we continue to contact and visit our beloved youth who haven’t been coming to church. We will ask them if they would like to start receiving the Mighty Arrows magazine issued by the diocese. We also decided to write all their names and give it to Abouna to place it on the Alter during the mass so that the Lord may bless them and we will continue to keep them all in our prayers.

v     As far as our library project, we are still looking for a bookshelf to start our library.

Let us all always remember this group in our prayers for that we need blessings from above to serve as an evangelists. “meanwhile praying also for us, that God would open to us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ…”(Col 4:3)

In Christ,
