On Friday, July 26, 2002, we had a few updates on some of the ideas we had about improving the church:

1) Uncle Romany will work on displaying the screen in front of the church very soon, God-willing.
2) Father Moussa will be setting up a time to meet with Moein Jourjy to discuss the greeting ministry.
3) Uncle Victor spoke with Sherif and he will be placing the headphones for the English translations very soon, if he has not done so already. 
4) David Khalil talked with someone about the rules and regulations the church would need to abide by in order to have a sign posted outside with the service times, etc.  He had already relayed the information to Father Moussa prior to the July 26th meeting.

We also had a few new comments and suggestions that were discussed during the meeting:

1) We decided to talk with the Saturday night High school meeting about getting involved with cleaning the church on Saturday nights.  It would only require some cleaning bags and supplies, but it would help up greatly with organizing the bathrooms and church before the Divine Liturgy on Sunday mornings. 
2) As of Sunday, July 28, 2002, there were tags placed on the tables in the cafeteria, with the Sunday school name, corresponding grade(s), and the servants' names.  This helped organize the children during lunch and helped clean up to be very successful. 
3) We agreed that it would be best to turn off the snack machines (not the soda machines) after church for 15 minutes while the children eat in order to encourage them to eat the lunch provided and also to help decrease the amount of trash to be collected.
4) We also discussed the need for a reward cycle for the kids that help clean the church after Sunday school.  This past Sunday, July 28, 2002, St. Abanoub's first and second grade class did a wonderful job in cleaning up the church, chapel, and cafeteria area.  They went around with bags and collected trash. 
5) Father Moussa mentioned that he would like to be notified of which class will be cleaning every Sunday, so that he or Abouna Angelous can make an announcement, so that the parents' are aware of this new project.

One final suggestion made was that it might be beneficial for everyone that is a part of this Evangelism meeting to read the Bible together.  We can have a 15 minute Bible study before the meeting begins and this will not only help us encourage one another to read the Bible more often, but it will also unite us all as one in Christ.
