Course Description:

      A consideration of the dynamics of marriage and family relationships is given. The emphasis is on understanding the structure and function of marriage, the various aspects of the marital relationship, family systems, and ways the lay counselor may approach marriage and family counseling as a creative, preventative, and healing ministry. 
 

Course Objectives:

At the conclusion of the course, students will:

  1. Understand the dynamics of marriage and family relationship.

  2. Understand marriage trough out the family life cycle

  3. Various aspects of marital relationship.

  4. How counselors may approach marriage and family counseling as a creative, preventive, and healing ministry.

On-Site Lesson Schedule: 

Readings Prior to Arrival:  The first three chapters in the Hope Focused Marriage Counseling

 

The Instructor will give an overview of the course and will emphasize the important points.

1. Attending the course’s lectures in the announced conference.
