Description:
This course
is an introduction to the lay counseling in our Coptic
Orthodox church. This course will
emphasize the root foundations of Christian counseling.
Profile of a shepherd-lay counselor: lessons learned from
the good shepherd

Objectives:
The student will:
1. Develop an
appreciation for what lay counseling is and is not.
2. Learn the
definitions of counseling from an Orthodox point of view.
3. Be provided with
a balanced perspective on the field of counseling.
4. Know why one
should be engage in lay counseling.

Attending the course’s lectures in the announced conference.
