Course Description:

This course provides a study of the theoretical bases of the helping process. It includes study of the major counseling theories. Also includes issues related specifically to the counseling process.

 

Course objectives:

Upon completion of this course, the student will have a basic understanding of the various major theories of counseling and psychotherapy practice.

Week 6:  Existential/ Humanistic Theories

Week 12 Compare and contrast between all learned  theories, in at least 10    pages on the computer by the end of the 12th week

                      A           > 90

                      B            80- 89

                      C            70- 79

                      D            60- 69

                      F            < 60

 

Course Requirement:

- Weekly summary and reflection on the assigned reading in 2-3 pages long by the end of each week.        Final grade Value 5% each 
 

- Compare and contrast paper by the end of the 12th week. Final grade value 30% 
 

- Attending, being ready and participating in class discussion during Final grade Value 15%
