Ihab Istafanous, M.D.
istafanous@uthscsa.edu

Dr. Istafanous received his medical degree from Alexandria University in Egypt. He then went on to complete a psychiatry residency from MNDNJ-New Jersey Medical School in Newark, NJ, where he also completed his fellowship training in child psychiatry. He is a member of the American Psychiatry Association and the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas-San Antonio.


Marguerite Rizk, BS., MA

Mrs. Rizk received a bachelor degree in science from University Of Pittsburgh and a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She also received a Diploma in Biblical Studies from the Institute of Biblical Studies. She is the founder of Women and A Crown of Thorns, a therapy and Psycho-educational group for women in the Pittsburgh area. Her involvement in research has led to twelve published papers. She is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC). She continues to lectures nationally and has taught seminary courses on a wide range of marriage and family topics. She is currently in private practice in Pittsburgh and also works as a trainer and consultant for several Community Ministries in the Pittsburgh area.


Mona Mikhail, M.D.

Dr. Mikhail studied at Ain-Shams University in Cairo, Egypt. She was appointed as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh. She also served as the Medical Director of the Dual Diagnosis Unit of St. Francis Hospital in Pittsburgh. Although she continues to work as a consultant for the Intermediate Unit One, Dr. Mikhail also maintains a private practice in Pennsylvania. She is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry.


Mounir Ibrahim, M.D.

Dr. Ibrahim received his medical degree from Cairo University and completed his residency training at Wake Forest University in Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC. After obtaining an appointment as Assistant Professor at Wake Forest, he pursued a career in private practice in Christian Psychiatry, for twenty years and maintained a Clinical Associate Professor position at Wake Forest. He is Board certified in Psychiatry and Neurology. He is Board certified in Geriatric Psychiatry (1995-2005). He obtained the Sixth Annual Nancy C.A. Roeske, M.D., Certificate of Recognition for Excellence in Medical Student Education in May 1996. In August 2004, he obtained the Diploma in Theological Studies by the Coptic Orthodox Theological College in Sydney, Australia. Currently he works as Locum Tenens.

Nabil Guirguis, M.D.

Dr. Guirguis recently completed a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of Texas in Houston. He completed his psychiatry residency training at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Baloy College of Medicine in Houston, TX. In addition to being board certified in Adult Psychiatry and Neurology, he holds membership in several organizations including Houstons Psychiatric Society, the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and the American Society of Psychosocial and Behavioral.

Norma El-Shammaa, M.D.

Dr. El-Shamma is a private practice Psychiatrist for 25 years, currently practicing in Olney MD. She is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology. She graduated from Cairo University Medical School and did psychiatry residency at Kasr El-Aini Hospital. She also received a diploma in Chemical Pathology. And was a member of the staff at Cairo University Medical School as an instructor of Pathology for 2 years. After traveling to the US she entered a pathology residency at Episcopal Hospital in Philadelphia. She chose to then complete both a child psychiatry and adult psychiatry residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA. She served as the Clinical Director of the Adult Day Treatment Center at Prince Georges County Hospital. She also served our country as a Major in the United States Air Force for 3 years.


Wafaie Selim, M.D.

Dr. Selim completed medical school at Cairo University. After coming to the US, he received a Master of Arts in Pastoral Psychology and Counseling from Ashland University and Theological Seminary. He then went on to become a licensed counselor and social worker in the state of Ohio. He is currently employed at Valley Counseling Services as a child and adolescent counselor in Youngstown, OH. Aside from his involvement in the church as a servant for the high school youth, he also participates in Boy Scouts of America. He is also a member of the American Association for Counseling and Development and the American Counseling Association.


Yousry Armanios, MA, M.D.

Dr. Armanios completed medical school at Cairo University. He then went on to receive a Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling and Psychology from Ashland University. He is a licensed social worker in the state of Ohio. He is certified in alcohol and drug counseling as well as in chemical dependency. In addition to his vast involvement and service in the church, he is a member of the National Association of Addiction Professionals, The National Association of Social Workers, and The American Society of Addiction Medicine. He currently works as a Chemical Dependency Counselor in Columbus, OH.
