On behalf of the Coptic Orthodox Diocese of the Southern United States, we joyfully congratulate Patriarch-elect, Mor Cyril Aphrem Karim, to be installed as His Holiness, Mor Ignatius Aphrem II Karim, 123rd Patriarch of Antioch and All East, the Successor of St. Peter in the Apostolic See of Antioch, and the Supreme Head of the Universal Syriac Orthodox Church. The See of Antioch will be blessed with a faithful guardian of the church, a theologian of great intellect, an advocate of progress and unity, and a visionary for the future. We lift up our hearts and hands in prayer with all the clergy and congregation of our sister church beseeching our gracious Lord to bestow long life and peaceful times to His Holiness Mor Ignatius Aphrem II Karim.
