Are there two different Jezebels in the Bible? I know the one in the Old Testament. Is she the same one mentioned in Revelation? Why is she called a prophetess?

There are two different women named Jezebel in the Holy Bible. They share strong similarities in their rebellion and wickedness.

The Jezebel mentioned in the Old Testament was a very evil woman who was married to Ahab. She wanted to kill Elijah the prophet because he slew the prophets of Baal. Dogs ate her flesh when she died after being trampled upon by horses.

The Jezebel mentioned in the New Testament was also an evil woman and a false prophetess from the church of Thyatira, who encouraged people to worship false gods and engage in sexual immorality.
