Are there levels of punishment in hell, e.g., Matthew 11:23, but I don't understand it. Could you explain?

Based on the teachings of the Holy Bible, the Church believes that there will be different levels of punishment in hell. The Holy Gospel according to St. Luke 12:47, asserts, "And that servant who knew his master’s will, and did not prepare himself or do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes." This statement reveals that there is a quantitative (many vs. few) and a qualitative (beaten with stripes) measure of punishment. Not only will there be many stripes of punishment for some, but furthermore, the Holy Book of Revelation 21:8, stipulates another kind of punishment for the following, "But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.” In addition, in the Holy Gospel according to St. Matthew 10:15, the Lord affirms, "Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!"
