If Samuel dies in the twenty fifth chapter of the Holy Book of 1 Samuel Chapter, who then wrote the Holy Book of Samuel?

According to the Jewish tradition the Holy Books of 1 & 2 Samuel were written by Samuel up to his death, as mentioned in chapter 25. Then it was continued by Nathan the prophet and Gad the seer. "Now the acts of King David, first and last, indeed they are written in the Book of Samuel the seer, in the Book of Nathan the prophet, and in the Book of Gad the seer" (1 Chr 29:29).
