Why, according to  the Holy Book of  Revelation 20:3, will Satan be set free for a short time after the thousand years of being locked and sealed? Will not all the believers be in heaven by then, and the earth void?

The Holy Books of Ezekiel 28:11-17 and Isaiah 14:12-15 tell us that Satan was a cherubim (a general among angels) who  became filled with pride, wanted to take God's place, and planned a rebellion. From that time there was war between Satan and God and His children.
  • (Ephesians 6:12) "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."

  • (Colossians 2:15) "And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it."

  • (1 Peter 5:8) "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour."

  • (Revelation 11:7) "And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them."

  • (Revelation 12:7) "And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels."

  • (Revelation 12:17) "And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ."

  • (Revelation 13:4) "And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? Who is able to make war with him?"

  • (Revelation 13:7) "And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations."

  • (Revelation 17:14) "These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful."

  • (Revelation 19:11) "And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war."

  • (Revelation 19:19) "And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army."
Satan must be released as a part of this war. We know that from the beginning, God has a master plan that is being fulfilled one step at a time. We find this in all the prophecies and in the life of our Lord Jesus Christ on earth.

God will allow Satan to be released to make a permanent end of sin before establishing the new heaven and earth.

When the time comes for the Antichrist to appear, he will be given Satan's dominion and power to rise, destroy and mislead many. Satan will gather those unbelievers for one final, futile rebellion against God. God will then defeat Satan forever by casting him into the lake of fire. On the last day the righteous and the wicked will also be judged.
