How can I make friends with people who are far away from God living an ungodly life while still keep myself away from sin and also try to bring them closer to God? Will God work through me even if I'm not worthy because of my many very bad sins and weakness of spirit? Should I just forget about everyone I meet and stay away from them completely without trying to do anything for them?

You need to honestly ask yourself: do you really want to be with them to get them close to God or because you find them funny and enjoy their company and want an excuse to do so? You are not convinced they are bad although you know they do bad things and  have no intention to repent. Let's evaluate the situation, your 'friends' have girlfriends which means they are committing sexual immoralities and the Holy Bible says "For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God" (1 Thess 4:3). Smoking means to ruin your body and your health "Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?" (1 Cor 6:19). For them the mention of the name Christ is craziness, they are like the Greeks who rejected the Lord and the Holy Bible says about them "but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness" (1 Cor 1:23).

Do not play with fire lest you get burned; but keep yourself away from an ungodly crowd so that you be the blessed child of God He wants you to be "Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night" (Ps 1:1-2).
