If, as a Sunday School servant, I am not being a good role model for the kids, and if in my private life I am also not being too careful about my spiritual life, will I influence the kids behaviour? Will I be held accountable for the their performance if they imitate me? Will I also be held accountable for their salvation? Should I stop serving?

A person should not cease to serve if he sins; but should become watchful over his behaviour life in order not to become a stumbling block for others. If you stop serving, that would mean you are giving in to sin and will not make the effort to change your ways. If you act wrongly before the kids, the best thing to do is to admit your wrongdoing to the kids and use this incident to teach them the importance of admitting, confessing, repenting and correcting our faults.

You will be held accountable for not teaching your kids the way of salvation. But if you do and they do not follow the teaching, you are not responsible. As shepherds or watchmen to the ones we serve, we should make sure we are teaching them the commandments and the words of the Lord. God warned Ezekiel the prophet that He would  punish him if he failed to report to the people the messages He had given him. However, if he delivered the messages and they did not listen nor obey he would not to be held accountable (Ezek 33:7-9).
