College years can be a period of strong spiritual growth. Our beloved Church recognizes the strong pillars for our faith in our youth serving as bright shining stars to a world yearning for the hope that is presented in Christianity.
But our shining light is only as strong as our spiritual foundation and this can only start by increasing first in knowledge and virtue as St. Peter says "...But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ" (2 Peter 1:5-8)
We will kick off our series this year with the foundation of Christianity:
Faith in the Orthodox Concept
"By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible." ( Hebrews 11:3) |
