Subject: SUS Seminary New Structure
Dear all,
It gives me a great pleasure to write back again to all of you. It has been a while since I left the seminary in preparation for my ordination in Egypt and getting settled in Chicago. However, with your prayers, H.G. Bishop Youssef invited me to come back as the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs of the newly approved (by H.H. Pope Shenouda) St. Athanasius Theological Seminary (instead of the old title Theological Enrichment Program). Fr. Marcus will also serve as the Associate Dean for Students Affairs.
I will be in direct contact with you regarding all academic issues, policies and procedures of the new college, semester preparation and instructions, the new college operation, etc.
First item on the agenda is time line for research and exams of subjects covered in the last two semesters.
Monday December 6: paper due for Fr. Athanasius
Monday January 24: paper due for H.G. Bishop Serapion (History I)
Monday March 21: paper due for H.G. Bishop Serapion (History II)
Late April / early may: Exams for Fr. Shenouda (dates will be set soon)
Due Dates are firm, as we always did in the past 3 years. Papers must be post marked by this dates, no exceptions.
I understand that most History materials are available and research topics were set earlier. I don't see any need for further delay.
We need to get ready for the next semester (Memoria Weekend 2005) with a new look and feel. We should prepare and make sure that our first class will graduate on time, God willing.
My very best wishes and I will keep you posted of any changes, as need arises.
Please pray for me.
