Am I correct in seeing that there is a lot of similarity between the Holy Book of Revelation and that of Daniel?
Could the "scroll" (Rev 5:1 through 8:1), with the seven seals be the same scroll as the "Book of Life" (Rev 20:12,15)? So much emphasis is placed on the opening of the scroll in Chapter 5. Although the "scroll" is never opened; yet its seals are broken. Could the scroll possibly be the Book of Life (Rev 20) (which IS opened) since "scroll" and "book" in Greek refer to the same thing? In Your Grace's article on the Diocese website you equate the scroll as a sentence of death. Furthermore, is this scroll the same one mentioned in Daniel 12:1-4?
at the beginning of this passage, the "book" sounds like the book of life in Revelation ("... those whose names are found written in the book, will escape...")
at the end of this passage, the book sounds like the sealed scroll in Revelation ("...seal the book until the time of the end...")
Could you please explain to me the verse in Holy Book of Revelation 6:11 "
Until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, was completed
Could you please explain what is meant by "
the name will be known only by who will take it
" (Rev 2:17)?
Could you please verify whether the following outline for the Holy Book of Revelation is correct. The Holy Book is divided into 3 sections,
Chapter 1 being what St. John originally saw;
Chapter 2 and 3 being what St. John saw concerning the present age.
Chapter 4 through the end of the Holy Book being the things which will occur in the future. The rapture of the Church in chapters 4 and 5.
Chapter 6 indicating the tribulation period in which all of the "unsaved" people will be tortured and condemned and the Church exalted with the Lord Jesus Christ.
What is the traditional interpretation of the Holy Book of Revelation?
In the Revelation Book, we meditate and take the words as advice about the end of the world, yet God spoke only to the 7 churches of Asia giving them encouragement, promises, criticism, and sometimes threats. Why did He specify these churches only and did not address Jerusalem, Egypt, etc....?
Revelations 21:8 says, "
But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.
" Cowardly is sometimes translated to fearful. Why should someone be punished for fear when it is a natural/normal emotion? If a person saw a snake or if a child was abused throughout his childhood and is fearful of trusting people, is it not only natural that they would be afraid?
What are the seven spirits of God as written in the Book of Revelation?
What is meant by new earth and new heaven under the Coptic Orthodox understanding? Once people are resurrected in the flesh, are they resurrected to an actual physical earth, or do they go to heaven?
What is meant by the

What is the explanation for the verse,
"Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth"
(Revelation 21:1)? What does he mean by a new earth? Is there a life on earth after the resurrection?
When St. John was Exiled in Patmos, what did he do there? Did he cut stones as shown in a movie?
Why does it say,
"What you see, write in a book and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia."
At that time there were only seven churches or what does it mean?
How many churches were in the whole world?
Why specifically in Asia? How about the other places?
Also, it says,
"His feet were like fine brass."
What does that represent?
I was in the Spirit
" (Rev 1:10). Does that mean John was awake or asleep?
