Most men want to marry pretty women. Is it true that if one seeks God's will, then God will choose for them the person to marry? How can I accept with joy and thankfulness the way God made me?

It is true that a lot of men look at appearances forgetting that appearances are deceptive. The Holy Bible tells us how Samuel the prophet, when sent by God to the house of Jesse to anoint a king for Israel, saw the appearance and stature of Jesse's oldest son and thought that he surely was the anointed of the Lord. But the Lord said to Samuel, "Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart" (1 Sam 6:16).

This is a great biblical lesson for everyone, especially those looking for a spouse, not to be deceived by appearances "Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised" (Prov 31:30).  Many suffered the consequences of making beauty the number one factor in choosing their life partner.

I do not want you to worry about this matter, but believe that God loves you; and in due time, He will provide you with a spiritual person who deserves you, and who knows how to choose a spouse based on biblical truths and teachings.

I want you to have self confidence and know that you are a special child of God. Do not be impatient but "seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you" (Mt 6:33). Get rid of the anxiety  in your life; and totally submit to the will of God believing His words, "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose" (Rom 8:28).
