I have been wondering if confession on the phone is acceptable if your confessor father agrees to it.

In the land of immigration I know it is hard to find several priests in one area among whom you can comfortably choose your confessor father. Churches and priests are hundreds of miles apart, which makes it difficult to have a regular face-to-face confessional meetings. It is very important to find a confessor father with whom you feel very comfortable to open your heart and uncover your sins and weaknesses. You also need to trust him and be willing to listen to and obey his advice. Sitting privately before one's confessor father to confess one's sins predisposes one to humility and submission; as if one is standing before our Lord Jesus Christ, the just judge, asking for forgiveness. Therefore it is better to confess face to face than on the phone. However, if this is not feasible, you can confess over the phone. However, make a point to meet with your confessor father as often as possible.
