Must a protestant converting to Coptic Orthodoxy be baptized again even if he had been baptized in the proper manner? Can such a convert become a priest?

When one is baptized in a certain denomination, they accept all the dogmas and beliefs of this particular Church. To convert to the Coptic Orthodoxy, a Protestant must be baptized in the new faith. In the Coptic Orthodox Church, a person is not only baptized in the name of the 'Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit' but he also affirms his belief in all the Church's dogmas such as the priesthood, the position of the Theotokos (Mother of God), the intercession of the saints and all the other beliefs that are rejected by the Protestant Church.

To become a priest in the Coptic Orthodox Church one has to be nominated by a bishop or a congregation. It is not a position that one applies for. It is a call just as the Lord Jesus Christ called His disciples. We have many converts who became priests and bishops too.
