There is someone that I know that came from Egypt about a month ago, so his wife can give birth to their child in the United States. She gave birth to the baby 2 days ago, but the baby was born with a bad heart. For the baby to survive, they will have to do multiple operations. From my understanding, they will have to operate constantly on the baby for the rest of his life in order for him to live. The father doesn’t want to do any operations and without the operations the baby will die. Is this right or wrong? Should he allow the operations to try to help the baby survive or should he deny the operations and let the baby die so he doesn’t have to suffer for the rest of his life?

Life is a precious gift from God. Every day, there are new medical procedures and interventions that have been able to provide many ill patients with a hopeful prognosis. Sometimes, a few may suffer more than others in order to pave the way for new medical interventions. This may not be what the father needs to hear right now, but it is part of the life cycle. The family is in pain and needs to be supported by prayer. Every person has value and a special purpose in life and in death. We strongly advise that every effort be made to help the child live until the Lord decides it is his time to depart. Below is a website of a modern day hero of a medical enigma, a young author, poet, and globally renowned ambassador of peace, despite his debilitating medical conditions, from which he was finally put to rest according to God's will prior to becoming a teenager. Yet, he impacted the entire world with his angelic presence.
