I have a friend that isn't sure about religion at all. She says that she was baptized as a catholic; however her family doesn't practice any religion at all right now. She is confused and doesn't know what to do. But the good thing is that she wants to do something and I can see that she is very serious about it. How can I help her?

Since your friend does not know about religion at all, the first step is to introduce Christianity to her. The Sermon on the Mount is the teaching of our Lord Jesus Chris. It contains the highest principles of Christianity. Give her H.H. Pope Shenouda's book "Contemplations on the Sermon on the Mount" to read and discuss it with her. Give her a Holy Bible if she does not have one and get her to read the Gospels. Get her to start with the Holy Gospel of St. Mark. It is usually a good beginning. Presenting our Church Liturgy to her right now while she doesn't know anything might lead her to wrong conclusions, because she will only look at the rituals without understanding why we worship the way we do.

Read about evangelism on our Diocese website you will find materials very helpful to you.
