My son had to read a text in high school about how unimportant motherhood is. They are saying that it is up to a woman to decide if she wants kids or not, and that motherhood is a myth. If God talks, he would say to stop having children since the world is overpopulated. Are there verses in the Bible to explain this?

God commanded that mothers and fathers be honored by their children (5th Commandment). The fifth commandment even includes a promise of longevity for keeping the commandment. The first four commandments stipulate our relationship with God and the remaining six command our relations with one another—beginning with parenthood. The Holy Book of Proverbs also presents many conditions regarding the honor, obedience, and respect owed to parents.

“Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you" (Exodus 20:12).

"Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, The fruit of the womb is a reward" (Psalm 127:3).

If this is a public school that denounces the teaching of religion, then they should also not be teaching anti-religion messages and then use God's name to say what they want to say and justify their heretic teaching.
