If we are fasting and abstaining from food at a certain period of time, do we fast on Sundays if we did not go to Liturgy?

Though daily observance of abstinence from food throughout the all fasts is required, strict abstinence is not required on Saturday or Sunday. Sunday is considered the Day of the Lord. If you cannot attend the Divine Liturgy on Sunday, try to refrain from having breakfast until you have prayed in the Agpeya and read the readings for Sunday. Though this rule is not a mandate, the Day of the Lord should be recognized in a reverend way.
