Does Passover begin on Nisan 15 or 14?

According to the Old Testament the Passover was celebrated on the 14th of the first month. The following holy verses confirm it.
  • The Holy Book of Leviticus 23:5 states, "On the fourteenth day of the first month at twilight is the LORD's Passover."


  • The Holy Book of Numbers 9:5 states, "And they kept the Passover on the fourteenth day of the first month, at twilight, in the Wilderness of Sinai; according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so the children of Israel did."


  • The Holy Book of Numbers 28:16 states, "On the fourteenth day of the first month is the Passover of the LORD."


  • The Holy Book of Joshua 5:10, "Now the children of Israel camped in Gilgal, and kept the Passover on the fourteenth day of the month at twilight on the plains of Jericho."


  • The Holy Book of 2 Chronicles 35:1 states, "Now Josiah kept a Passover to the LORD in Jerusalem, and they slaughtered the Passover lambs on the fourteenth day of the first month."


  • The Holy Book of Ezra 6:19 states, "And the descendants of the captivity kept the Passover on the fourteenth day of the first month."


  • The Holy Book of Ezekiel 45:21 states, "In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, you shall observe the Passover, a feast of seven days; unleavened bread shall be eaten."
