What seminaries prepare laypersons for ordination in the Coptic Church? Any in Florida?

The Coptic Church has theological schools in the cities of New Jersey and Los Angeles. Check from . more information about them.

There is also a Theological Seminary Program offered by our Southern Diocese twice a year (May and September). For more information check

Attending any of the seminaries does not necessarily make one eligible for priesthood. A layperson in the Coptic Church does not apply for ordination into the priesthood but has to be called; because our church follows the way our Lord Jesus Christ called His disciples and apostles. The person could be called by the Pope or a bishop or could be nominated by a congregation to be considered for priesthood and has to have the approval of the bishop in charge.
