> Davidic Saying
There is 1 question in this category.
How does an Orthodox Christian interpret the famous Davidic saying, 'The Lord said to my lord, 'Sit at my right hand...' David is king, and was a very powerful one at that. He has only one lord - the Lord. How then can the Lord say to David's lord?" My mentor response did not know for sure but his "guess" was the glorification befitting of Christ (as a representative of mankind) after the resurrection, and our [mental] acceptance of the concept of the Holy Trinity. After Christ appeared in the weaker form (the flesh) and became the accepted sacrifice is restored (in our minds) to His glory in heaven and [became] our Lord. If that makes any sense..."
