dDuring the Holy Thursday Liturgy, we skip the commemoration of saints because we are supposed to be focused on Christ, correct? Why then do we say "hail to the saints" in the Verses of the Cymbals of Matins? What is the difference here? Shouldn't we skip that also?

The salutations of the saints during the Maundy Thursday Verses of the Cymbals for Matins are additions which were erroneously introduced in the early 20th century.
