Thank you very much for your article about St. Mehrael (http://www.suscopts.org/mightyarrows/vol3_no2/stmehrael.pdf)! The most interesting for me are these words: "God promised that if anyone requests or speaks through this saint's name, he or she will be rewarded and blessed." I have the Ethiopian version of this saint's life on ge'ez language and it is said there, that before her death, an angel came to her and gave her a promise from God. There are no comments on what kind of promise it was, but I suppose that it is somehow connected with the words from your article. I fail to find St. Mehrael's life description except in this article. Can you confirm, if there is any promise in the Coptic version of her life?

The article cited in this edition of the Mighty Arrows Magazine is accurate. Below is another reference which corroborates the magazine version. God's saints and martyrs are dear and precious to Him. The underlying message that God gave to St. Mehrael in the words of the promise is that she will be able to intercede on behalf of petitioners that have special concerns. This is a great blessing bestowed on this saint in particular. If other promises were made other than what is written in St. Mehrael's biography, it is unknown to us at this time.
