How can one know if they are trusting God or not? If not, how does one learn how to do that?

The Lord Jesus Christ Himself demands that we trust in Him, giving us many Biblical examples of how to do so. "The centurion answered, "Lord, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof; but only speak the word and my servant will be healed. For I am also a man under authority, with soldiers under me; and I say to one, GO, and he goes, and to another, COME, and he comes, and to my slave, DO THIS and the slave does it. When Jesus heard him, He was amazed and said to those who followed Him, TRULY I TELL YOU, IN NO ONE IN ISRAEL HAVE I FOUND SUCH FAITH" (Matthew 8:8-10).

The centurion trusted the Lord Jesus Christ wholly. The heart of this example is choosing to trust the Lord and wisely accepting his loving authority over your life.

When we start to realize how limited our understanding is in comparison to God’s omnipotence, we then begin to trust Him to do what is best for us whether we understand it or not.

This is the beginning of trust.

"But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you---you of little faith?" (Matthew 6:30)
