The website creation.com says that God created the world in six 24 hour days. Why do we say that the “six days are time periods only” with the reason being that the sun and moon were not created until the fourth day? Could it be possible that the days before then were still actual 24-hour days even before the sun and moon were created? Do we have more proofs that our Coptic Orthodox Church can put forward in relation to the 7 Periods of creation?

Being that God is above time, the periods of creation tell us that it was the 1st, 2nd, 3rd., etc., day. If we considered the first three days as only 24 hours, then many of the scientific findings cannot be justified. God can certainly create as much in any period of time according to His will. The solar system was regulated on the fourth day, but even that does not override God's obvious omnipotence in His creation for each of His creation was created in its mature state and not in its infant stage, whether plant, animal, or even mankind.
