When God forgives a sin, does he forget it or still consider it, even if he doesn’t count it against you?

When we repent and confess our sin, it is washed as if it never happened. God is not a human who remembers and forgets. He knows the past, present and future. He is the all knowing, but He chooses to wipe out our sin considering it as never had happened.
