What does the Church advise regarding the HPV vaccine, as HPV is an STI? Believers ought to be abstinent, so this should not be an issue, right? So, there is no reason to get such a vaccine?

The Church admonishes all unmarried individuals to refrain from any kind of sexual activity. However, if someone defies the teachings of the Church and engages in sexual activity, each person ought to be cognizant of the risks of contracting STIs and STDs and the risk of spreading these infections and diseases through irresponsible practices. Unfortunately, if that is the case, the woman ought to consider this vaccine for protection. Having said that, the spiritual risk is more important and deserves much more thought, prayer, and self-control.
