How do we commit ourselves to serving the Lord?

The Holy Book of I Peter 4:11 tells us if anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised.

"If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers let him do it with the ability, which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen."

The Holy Book of I Peter 4:7-11 specifically teaches us how to prepare for Heaven by "serving." Whatever gifts God has given to His people, they  are to be used for the Glory of God and in a spirit of love. Read also the Holy Books of Romans 12:4-10 and I Corinthians 12-14.

I recommend reading Pope Shenouda's series about service. And also "Service and Humility" in the Life of The Saint Pope Kyrollos the Sixth. It is written by "Pope Kyrollos's Sons."

May God bless all your services for His Holy Name.
