I am not sure if I want to get married or not. However, I have a friend, my age with whom, for the last five years, I have been in touch via email and phone calls. I do not know his feelings towards me. All I know about him is that he is a man of God. I am refusing other people for his sake. However, keeping in touch with him is becoming more difficult. Is God trying to tell me something?

You need to ask yourself: if this particular person asks you for marriage today, would you accept his offer? If no, then you should not pursue this friendship lest you give him the wrong impression especially that this relationship is taking a new turn by adding phone conversations to the emails and taking more time. If yes, then with all these emails and phone conversations you should know by now his desires. You need to have a clear vision where this relationship is taking you. You can ask him in your conversation if he is considering monastic life. At least from his response, you will have a feel of his plans and in which direction he is heading. Do not just go on like this; because if while caring about him you discover later on that he is not interested in you, then you will feel hurt. Keep praying about it and may the Lord lead you to the right path.
