I am a very egoistic person, and pride is my main problem. I have tried so often to humble myself, but I failed. I am afraid if I die with this proud, unwilling heart of mine, God will not accept me. What can I do?

A proud man would not admit in his heart that he is a sinful man. He would not recognize that he is doing anything wrong; On the contrary, he thinks he is very wise. I see that you do recognize and admit that you are prideful. Sometimes it is not easy to overcome a certain sin and one finds himself committing the same sin over and over again. This should not make us despair but we should always have faith that we can conquer sin "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" (Phil 4:13). You have to be positive in your thinking, "For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace" (Rom 6:14). Trust and have hope in the Lord; For the Holy Bible tells us "The things which are impossible with men are possible with God" (Luke 18:27).
