Welcome to the official website of St. Athanasius
Coptic Orthodox Church in Chattanooga, TN! Our congregation began in
1988 and has grown steadily throughout the past 19 years. The LORD has
graciously blessed us with the purchase of land, and we are in the process
of beginning construction on our Church.
Glory be to GOD, and thanks to the guidance of H.G. Bishop Youssef and the
prayers and support of our congregation, we have closed on three (3) acres
of land. We have begun planning for construction and are confident that the
LORD will bless this next phase with success, so that we may continue
serving the families and children of the Chattanooga area.
We are a small community and need your prayers and financial support. Please
take this opportunity to experience GOD's eternal love by contributing to
the building of St. Athanasius Coptic Orthodox Church. The LORD offers this
promise, "Give and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down,
shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the
measure that you use, it will be measured back to you" (Luke 6:38). Giving
is simply returning what the LORD has graciously bestowed, "for all things
come from You, and of Your own we have given You" (1 Chronicles 29:14).
May the LORD bless this project and bring it to fruition, and may the LORD
