Jacksonville, FL - Priest Ordination

June 17, 2012

COLLEYVILLE, TX. June 17, 2012 -- On Sunday, June 17, 2012, the St. Demiana community was blessed with an ordination of a new priest, Fr. Philopateer Younan, as H.G. Bishop Youssef performed the "laying of hands". This blessed event was attended by H.G. Bishop Serapion of Los Angeles, H.G. bishop Michael of Virgina, Fr. Samuel from Virginia, some of the Southern Diocese priests and the Jacksonville community. Fr. Philopateer be will serving the congregation of St. Demiana Coptic Orthodox Church. We pray that the Lord will grant Fr. Philopateer wisdom, love, and peace as he begins his new service.
